Something to think about: Prometeus - The Media Revolution

All started with the Media Revolution, with Internet, at the end of the last century.

Everything related to the old media vanished: Gutenberg, the copyright, the radio, the television, the publicity.

The old world reacts: more restrictions for the copyright, new laws against non authorized copies...

... In 2050? Prometeus buys Place and Spirit. Virtual life is the biggest market on the planet. Prometeus finances all the space missions to find new worlds for its customers: the terrestrial avatar.

Experience is the new reality!

Prometeus - La Revolucion de los Medios is here.

Give it a try and enjoy understanding & using!

There are 2 types of Internet users: those that use Wikis and those that don't.

This video is for the people who could save time using Wikis, but don't know where to start.

Something to think about: Copyright, a fair(y) tale use?

In the heart of the Silicon Valley, legal doctrine is emerging that will determine the course of civil rights and technological innovation for decades to come. The Center for Internet and Society (CIS), housed at Stanford Law School and a part of the Law, Science and Technology Program, is at the apex of this evolving area of law.

Professor Eric Faden of Bucknell University provides this humorous, yet informative, review of copyright principles delivered through the words of the very folks we can thank for nearly endless copyright terms.

So, what do YOU think about it?

Something to think about: EOL, Encyclopedia Of Life

EOL

Imagine an electronic page for each species of organism on Earth available everywhere by single access on command...

This is Encyclopedia Of Life, an amazing collaborative networking project, kind of Wikipedia for biodiversity that documents all of 1.8 million named species of animals, plants, and other forms of life on Earth.
With support from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, scientists from many institutions including Field Museum of Natural History, Harvard University, Marine Biological Laboratory, Smithsonian Institution, and Biodiversity Heritage Library have joined together to initiate the project.
“The Encyclopedia of Life will be a vital tool for scientists, researchers, and educators across the globe, providing easy access to the latest and best information on all known species,” said Jonathan F. Fanton, President of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. “Technology is allowing science to grasp the immense complexity of life on this planet. Sharing what we know, we can protect Earth's biodiversity and better conserve our natural heritage.”
A dream comes true. Don't miss it!

Something to think about: How IM has changed our life

Believe me or not, once upon a time, there was no Instant Messenger.

We all, well almost each of us, owe Instant Messenger alot.

And you, what's your favorite IM? What did it change in your life?
