The Crickee Privacy Notice describes how we treat personal information when you use products and services provided by Crickee Technologies.
1. Collection of your personal information
In order to register for the Crickee application, Crickee Technologies asks for some personal information when you sign up including mobile phone make and model, mobile phone number, user name, email address, date of birth, gender and country of residence Your mobile phone number will be registered as unique ID number to identify your account and operate the Service. It will be changed in the case of a lost or stolen phone so that no one can access your contact list information. Users are reminded, at the time personal information is collected, of the manner in which they may have access to, correct or remove such information, and the person with whom that right of access, correction or removal may be exercised. Crickee Technologies may collect information about your visit to our web site, including the pages you view, the links you click and other actions taken in connection with Crickee services. We also collect certain standard information that your browser sends to every website or service you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, language and geographical location. Furthermore, in order to operate the Service, you understand and agree that Crickee stores, processes and maintains your messages, contact lists and other data related to your account.
2. Personal information of friends
When you tell your friends about Crickee Service you will be directed to a webpage and will have the possibility of adding one or more e-mail addresses and/or telephone numbers in an online form. The information entered in this form, will only be used for the purposes of automatically generating an e-mail message or SMS with WAP link to your friends and will thereafter immediately be deleted.
3. Use of your personal information
Crickee collects and uses your personal information to operate and improve its services. These uses may include managing and administering your account, providing you with more effective customer service; making the services easier to use by eliminating the need for you to repeatedly enter the same information; performing research and analysis aimed at improving our products, services and technologies. We also use your personal information to communicate with you. You understand and agree that we may send certain mandatory service communications such as welcome letters, information on technical service issues, security announcements, or periodic member letters that are considered part of the Service, or respond to complaints or account enquiries. We may also undertake market and product analysis based on your use of our services and products and contact you with information about new developments, products, services and special offers (subject to any preferences expressed by you). You understand and agree that we may also display content and advertising of carefully selected third parties that are customized to your interests and preferences, and allow you to receive advertising and marketing information from those selected third parties without passing control of your personal information to the third party. You acknowledge that by providing your personal data to us, you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Notice. At the time of each collection of information, Crickee will ask you to confirm your consent to use of the information so collected, and remind you of your rights under the applicable legislation, among which the right reminded below.
4. Sharing of your personal information
When you communicate with other users through Crickee or add them to your contact list, certain information will be shared with those users. This information may include your name (or any “friendly” name under which you may have chosen to appear) and presence state (e.g. whether you are currently online or offline). Crickee does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. In particular, when displaying targeted advertisements, Crickee does not provide any personal information to the advertiser. However, by interacting with or viewing an ad you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will make the assumption that you meet the targeting criteria used to display the ad. We occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, such as handling the processing and delivery of mailings, providing customer support, processing transactions, or performing statistical analysis of our services. We will only provide those companies the personal information they need to deliver the Service. They are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information and are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose. Crickee Technologies fully cooperates with law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies in identifying any individuals who use our services for illegal, unlawful and/or inappropriate activities. We reserve the right to release personal information about individuals who we believe are in violation of our content guidelines, norms or terms of use, and to report any activities that we reasonably believe to be unlawful in order to protect the personal safety of users of Crickee or members of the public. Personal information collected on this site may be stored and processed in any country in which Crickee maintains facilities, and by using this site, you consent to any such transfer of your personal information outside of your country.
5. Access to and control of your personal information
You can access to, modify or delete your personal contact information directly through the Crickee application on your mobile phone by going to your My Profile page. You may also stop at any time the delivery of promotional e-mail from Crickee services or unsubscribe to the Crickee Newsletter by following the specific instructions on this website or clicking on the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any e-mail/newsletter. Please note that these communications choices do not apply to mandatory service communications that are considered part of certain Crickee services, such as ads you accept each time you launch the application, which you may receive periodically unless you unsubscribe and uninstall the application. You can terminate your account and uninstall the Crickee application at any time by following the uninstall instructions of your mobile phone manual or by clicking on the FAQ section of the website. Such termination will take immediate effect in your account view. Please note that your connection data, log information and other information which we have to keep stored according to the law, will be stored in compliance with applicable law and for this purpose only. Your other files and information will be immediately released.
6. Collection and Use of Children's Personal Information
Crickee is concerned about the safety and privacy of all its users, particularly children under 18. Crickee only collects personal information necessary to provide the Service, and that information is never shared with third parties. Children under 18 wishing to register with Crickee should request their parents’ consent before accessing the Service. Parents should be aware that whenever their child under 18 uses the Service, he will be able to communicate with, and disclose personal information to, other users of all ages. Crickee strongly encourages parents to talk to their children about communicating with and disclosing personal information to third parties. Crickee may show ads with links to other Web sites, including our advertisers' Web sites. These links are carefully selected with the interests, privacy and safety of children under 18 in mind. We undertake, according to the user’s profile, not to show ads reflecting sensitive or inappropriate content. In cases where it might not be clear from the link itself, Crickee will notify users when they are clicking a link that takes them to a Web site where information collection practices may be different than Crickee’s. We recommend that you review the privacy statements of other Web sites that you and/ or your children under 18 visit.
7. Cookies
Cookies are small text file that are placed on your hard disk by a Web page server for the purpose of facilitating and enhancing your communications and interaction with that Web site. Cookies contain information that can later be read by the web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Crickee Technologies relies on cookies to store your preferences and other information on the material where the application is set up in order to save you time by eliminating the need to repeatedly enter the same information. For example, your e-mail address may be stored in a cookie that will remain on the material you use to access the Service after you sign out each application user cession. This cookie allows your e-mail address to be pre-populated, so that you will only need to type your password the next time you sign in. Crickee Technologies never uses cookies to retrieve information from your computer that was not originally sent or stored in a cookie.
