Roundabout scratching

This week Crickee is learning that nothing beats a giant DJ having some fun at an intersection.

Stay tuned, Crickee is ready to show you a new intersection you should enjoy!

Isn't it nice when things just ad-just? (See how to?)

That's why they make it easy for you to make free ringtones and share them with others. You can turn the music you already own into custom ringtones and get them on your phone;

You can also explore the ringtones other members of the Phonezoo community have created and rate them, comment on them and get them for yourself.

You can also find Crickees' song and get it on your phone. For free, it goes without saying!

Note: At this time, Phonezoo is only supporting US market. If you still want to try it out, you can register but will not be able to send the content to your phone. Be patient, other countries should be added shortly.

Enjoy Crickee with a good old Samsung x640…

Samsung x640_crickee
Originally uploaded by crickee.
After doing our best to -successfully- run Crickee on many high-end phones, here's a bit of hope for those of you who carry things like a Samsung X640.

You think it won't make it ? Check this out, it's just fine for Crickee and has all it takes to let you take advantage of it. Say goodbye to your good old (expensive?) SMSs.

Ok, enough talking. Let's see you to make it adopt a Crickee.

First go to our website and fill in the application form, or open your Wap browser on the phone and type in it the address http://adopt.crickee.com. You'll find the browser here:

Menu -> Fun box -> WWW Services -> Go to URL. You then need to follow the instructions.

In both cases (web or Wap) you'll receive a SMS to end the registration process. Open the SMS and click on the link inside:

Options -> Cut address, select the link then Options -> Go to URL.

After opening the link you'll see a Confirm screen (displaying the size, version and name of Crickee). Click on Install.

You're on to the downloading screen (with a progress bar showing the percentage of Crickee downloaded ) and finally installing.

The phone then displays the following message: Download completed. Execute now ? Obviously you'd better pick Yes.

Crickee’s on ! You can now enjoy the fun of Crickee with your friends.

Remember, the first time you open Crickee it executes on its own, but next time you want to open it you'll find it here:

Menu -> Fun box -> JAVA world -> Downloads

Have a connection issue or an error message? First check here that your operator is listed here:

Menu -> Fun box -> WWW Services -> Current proxy. You should see the name of your operator as the current connection. If you don’t pick your operator or add its profile here: Menu -> Fun box -> WWW Services -> proxy settings

One last tip concerning the configuration issue. Even if your X640 has a data connection, you might need to type the GPRS settings in this menu (this is stupid but we've seen this on several Samsung devices):

Menu -> Fun box -> JAVA world -> Internet Settings
Contact your operator to get the settings. For instance with the French operator Orange :

APN: Orange
Login ID: orange
Password: Orange
DNS settings: 192.168.10.100

Get Crickee on your Motorola v280!

Originally uploaded by crickee.

For those of you who wonder what you can get for 11mm thick, here's the answer.

The Motorola v280 is, like his cousin the L6, quite small but nevetheless interesting.

Crickee has tested this baby to check whether it could get a Crickee inside.

We are going to explain to you how to adopt a crickee with it. This way you'll start saving money on your SMSs!

The first thing to do is either fill the online form or open your browser on your phone. If you choose the latter, here's a bit of help:

You will find your Wap browser by typing this:

Menu -> Web access -> Menu -> Go to URL

All you have to do now is follow the instructions of our Wap site. After completing your profile you'll receive a SMS (it's also true with the online form).

Go read it and please click on the link inside. You can do it this way: Menu -> Go To

You'll arrive at a Details screen (with the name, size and version of Crickee displayed). Click on Download.

The next page might be frightening but don't be afraid as you see this: Not a signed application. Continue Downloading? Pick Yes.

You can now see that you are actually downloading Crickee. Right after you're asked Run Crickee? Yes looks like the best answer!

Crickee is now running and your phone is asking you this question: Use data network? Say Yes, ask once.

Now in Crickee, you see a 3-second visual advertisement and then a screen called My Tribe where you can add your first contact and send your first message ...

Now feel free to use Crickee every day and tell us how good you think it is!

The next time you want to run Crickee you'll find it here:
Menu -> Games & Apps -> Crickee

If you have trouble connecting to Crickee you might have a connection issue. Please check that you have a proper data connection here (and contact your operator if you don't):

Menu -> Settings -> WebAccess -> Web Sessions
